The University Joseph KI-ZERBO is the dean and the largest of the Universities of Burkina Faso. Born in the continuation of the cooperation agreement, signed to Paris on April 24, 1961 between Upper Volta and France, the Université Joseph KI-ZERBO is the translation of the will; of the political authorities of that time to reassert the sovereignty national institution for higher education.
The University Joseph KI-ZERBO has been ranked in recent years among the best universities in French-speaking Africa. The teaching system used by the university is the modular teaching system based on on university credits, which combine fundamental and vocational training.
