Project creation and platform functionalities

  1. What are the eligible countries or citizen requirements to create projects?
    Answer: All countries are eligible.

  2. What are the minimum and maximum required period from a project creation to its start?
    Answer: Minimum: 1 year; Maximum: 5 years. But you may special requests may be analysed by the management.

  3. Can many candidates from the same family create projects?
    Answer: Yes.

  4. Can a person have multiple projects?
    Answer: No. Each candidate should create only one project. The candidate may specify multiple study fields and target universities in his project.

  5. What would be the relationship between Scolaplan and the candidate students or between Scolaplan and host universities?
    Answer: Between Scolaplan and candidate students : Accompaniment; Advice; Allowance during the studies. Between Scolaplan and host universities : Partnership for the arrival of students; Follow-ups duing studies.

  6. Can a project be refused or cancelled?
    Answer: Scolaplan management board reserves the right to refuse or cancel a project at its own discretion if it judges it necessary, and based on its Terms and conditions.

Financing and Funds Management

  1. Is the creation of projects subject to a payment?
    Answer: No payment is required from a candidate in order to create a project.

  2. Should students find their contributors or can anybody contribute to any project?
    Answer: Both situations are possible.

  3. Is the platform thinking of getting contributors to help a candidate who is unable to collect the required amount?
    Answer: While we primarily encourage candidate to seek for contributions, we will also try to mobilize donors in order to finance projects on the platform.

  4. What if the contributor wants to remain anonymous?
    Answer: The website provides the contributors an option to do so during the payment process.

  5. Can a project get modified while being financed?
    Answer: A project may be modified, but the platform management may approve or deny the modification request and involve contributors in its decision.

  6. How are the collected funds get managed?
    Answer: The funds are deposited into an account managed by a non-for-profit organization, Exaltaction. They will be used to support the student procedures for registration, immigration, housing, etc. In addition, the funds will be disbursed to pay student's tuition and living expenses.

  7. How will the funds be disbursed and at what frequency?
    Answer: The collected funds are divided into two parts : One part is directly paid host university according to the payment terms in force, while the second part is paid to the student on a monthly bases as living expenses during the studies.

  8. What are the guarantees that the raised funds will be used for the project's purposes?
    Answer: Exaltaction is a regularly registered entity according to the norms and standards surrounding the non-for-profit organizations in Canada. It adheres to the highest principles of good governance and is subject to them by law. The funds will be used during the project realization as explained in the previous question, and in accordance to our Terms and conditions.

  9. What happens if a recipient is no longer willing or able to study?
    Answer: The collected funds may be used to finance other study projects by decision of the Board of Directors of the organization in charge of managing the funds: Exaltaction.
